La rapide croissance d’Internet ces dernières années a rendu difficile la découverte
The enormous growth of the Web in recent years has made difficult the discovery of new sources of interest on a given topic, even thanks to an existing set of relevant sources. To address this problem, we introduce an approach to provide users with new relevant sources of information by exploiting their needs. It aims at combining a personalized crawler with a collaborative filtering system. We study the interest of exploiting the user profile during the crawling process in order to avoid collecting and indexing all available Web documents. We also discuss issues and the development of such a system.
